esoteros
Adjective (Superlative)
Inner, interior, innermost

Definition

Comparative/superlative form of eso ('within'). Esoteros means the further inside, the most interior โ€” the inner sanctuary beyond the first chamber.

Usage & Theological Significance

Esoteros appears in Hebrews 6:19 describing the hope we have as 'an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil' โ€” the esoteron of the heavenly sanctuary. This is behind the curtain that separated the Holy of Holies. Christ as High Priest entered not merely the first chamber but the innermost sanctuary of heaven itself with His own blood. Our hope is anchored not in the outer courts of earthly religion but in the very presence of God. This invites every believer to approach 'the inner' โ€” to draw near to the holy presence previously restricted to one priest on one day.
