Μεγαλειος
Megaleios
Adjective
Magnificent / Wonderful

Definition

From megas (great). Magnificent, wonderful, splendid. Describes the grand, awe-inspiring works of God that move people to worship.

Usage & Theological Significance

At Pentecost, the international crowd heard the disciples 'declaring the wonders of God' in their own languages (Acts 2:11). The magnificent works of God are not confined to one language or culture — they are proclaimed in every tongue. This foreshadows the fulfillment of Revelation's vision where every nation, tribe, people, and language worships the Lamb. God's magnificence transcends all human boundaries.
