Μεταδοσις
Metadosis
Noun, Feminine
Sharing / Distribution

Definition

From metadidōmi (to share). The act of sharing or distributing one's possessions or spiritual gifts with others.

Usage & Theological Significance

Generosity is not optional in the Christian life — it is evidence of the Spirit's work. The early church practiced radical sharing, holding things in common (Acts 2:44-45). Paul taught that the purpose of honest labor is to have something to share with those in need (Ephesians 4:28). The gospel transforms hoarders into givers.
