Περιαγω
Periagō
Verb
To Lead Around / To Go About

Definition

From peri (around) and agō (to lead). To lead around, to go about from place to place. Used of Jesus' itinerant ministry traveling through towns and villages.

Usage & Theological Significance

Matthew 4:23 describes Jesus 'going about' all Galilee, teaching, proclaiming, and healing. This itinerant pattern was deliberate — Jesus brought the kingdom to the people rather than waiting for them to come to Him. The gospel is mobile, not stationary. The church is not a building people visit but a people God sends.
