Hyperauxánō (ὑπεραυξάνω) is a compound verb: hyper (over, beyond) + auxanō (to grow). It means to grow exceedingly, to increase beyond measure. A superlative of spiritual growth. Appears once in the NT.

Usage & Theological Significance

Paul uses it in 2 Thessalonians 1:3: 'your faith is growing exceedingly and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.' This is remarkable encouragement — not gradual growth but growth beyond all measure. Spiritual growth through trials is not linear but exponential. Faith exercised through persecution grows dramatically. God's design is not maintenance-mode Christianity but faith that overflows its banks, faith that hyperauxanō.
