p'quddah
Noun, Feminine
Visitation, oversight, charge, punishment

Definition

From H6485 (paqad). Refers to the act of visitation β€” whether for blessing or judgment. Also used for an office of oversight or stewardship.

Usage & Theological Significance

P'quddah captures one of the OT's most dynamic concepts: God's visitation. When God visits, everything changes. In Isaiah 10:3, the 'day of visitation' is accountability. In Numbers 3:36, it describes a stewardship charge. God is never passive β€” He observes, intervenes, and holds accountable.
