Dictionary>Hey everyone, I'm back on days and on duty so what better way to pass the time than to send a e-mail to update the blog. Here's a picture of me finishing up the half-marathon we had here on TQ about 3 weeks ago. 
I think it was the farthest I've run at once, but I'm planning on running the Marine Corps Marathon with my brothers David and Josh and my Uncle Johnny so I better run all that I can. I actually came in 2nd in my age group and 8th overall, which I thought was pretty good, although not everyone showed up because the race started at 0500 on a Saturday morning.
Anyway, everything is still just business as usual but slowing down just a little bit. It's just under a month till our replacement squadron shows up, and just over a month till the day I get to leave. I say “I" because a few lucky guys are leaving early on advanced party, but I'm with the main body and we'll all get out of here the second or third week of August.

By the way Happy 4th of July to everyone, I hope you all get to see some cool fireworks. Not much of that here except some yellow illumination rounds up in the sky at night. I was actually flying the early morning of the 4th which was cool, and fortunately we didn't see any fireworks that night either.
