The Marine
Adam Johns served the United States Marine Corps for over 20 years — a Marine Corps pilot who flew aircraft, led people, and carried the weight that comes with both. His call sign, MOOP, was earned in service: Marine On Own Program. It started as a jab. It became a declaration.
He retired — not because the fight was over, but because God had a different mission waiting. His final year in uniform included its share of institutional friction: an investigation for "extremism" that was really just conviction in an organization drifting from its foundations. MOOP walked through it the same way he walked through everything: eyes forward, faith intact.
It runs in the family. His Uncle Joe — a chaplain in both the Royal Canadian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force — spent decades fighting institutional corruption and became part of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. The Johns men stir the pot. They also trust God with the outcome.
"I'm on God's program now. Not the institution's. Not the culture's. Not my own. His."
The Minister
Out of 20 years of military discipline and faith under fire, MOOP founded U.S.M.C. Ministries — Uniting, Serving, Mentoring & Counseling — bringing everything the Corps taught him into a new theater of operations: men's souls.
- Uniting men around Christ, not just camaraderie
- Serving families, not just mission objectives
- Mentoring husbands and fathers, not just subordinates
- Counseling through Scripture and relationship, not just programs
He is pursuing ordination through the Christian Leaders Alliance, and is certified through SYMBIS and PREPARE/ENRICH for marriage counseling. He equips men through the Five-Front War framework — Heart, Spirit, Body, Provision, Mind — the five battlegrounds where every husband and father must hold the line.
He is actively involved with CBMC, Noble Warriors, and Men of Valor International — organizations committed to forming men of faith, strength, and integrity.
- Men of Valor International — Adam has spoken at Men of Valor International conferences and participated in men's retreats, equipping church and community leaders to reach men effectively.
- Noble Warriors — Adam has served with Noble Warriors, a men's discipleship organization focused on training men through retreats and experiential learning.
The Family Man
Twenty years of service, and the greatest thing MOOP brought home wasn't a rank — it was a family still intact. He leads from Fredericksburg, Virginia, with his crew:
A wife who stayed. Sons growing into men. A daughter who lights up every room. That's the real medal.
The Entrepreneur
Mission-oriented men don't stop when the uniform comes off. MOOP channels the same discipline and stewardship ethic into business:
- C5iSR LLC — Christ-Centered Crypto Consulting, Commerce, Investing, Stewarding & Resourcing. Empowering individuals and families to reach financial freedom as stewards for Christ's Kingdom. Blockchain education, crypto strategy, biblical investing.
- Bow & Arrow — Short-term rental operations and photography studio. Hospitality as ministry.
- fit20 — NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT, CNC, WLS, PES). Studio Coordinator. Because the body is a temple and men need to train like it.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
— 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)
