>Hey everyone, sorry it’s been a while since my last note and I haven’t sent any pictures either. This one is of my crew and co-pilot and roommate Ken O’Connor. He’s more senior than me, but tonight he was my co-pilot, and we had a good time. He’s on the far right with the red eyes. My crew chief is on my left LCpl Cox, and Cpl Hagel was my AO (aerial observer) or Left Gunner. The flag is going to Ken’s Father in Law, and he can say the flag was in 3 different aircraft that night and say that it flew over Iraq. We had to roll twice for maintenance issues, but finally got off the deck and finished the mission. We weren’t even suppose to go because we were just on standby, but people and cargo had to get moved, so we answered the call.
Anyway, Tomorrow is a maintenance day, and I’m going to write my newsletter input and hopefully put some more pictures in there of the other Marines that work for me. Here is a link for our squadron’s webpage (http://www.1maw.usmc.mil/index.asp?unit='HMM-262′) you should be able to find the newsletters pretty easy. We’re also having a burger burn and sort of a “fun day” to celebrate getting past the half way point in our deployment which was a couple weeks ago. After that it’ll be business as usual come Monday, and I’ll be transitioning back to days pretty soon.
As always thanks for the prayers and care packages and e-mails.
Peace,
Adam
