People who know me, know I like acronyms, BUT I DON'T like the KISS acronym. The reason I don't like it is that most people say this one wrong. They say, “Keep It Simple, Stupid," but originally it meant “Keep It Short & Simple."
I don't like being called stupid, so I don't like people calling people stupid, therefore I reject the KISS acronym and propose a new one.
I'll make every effort to use this, and I hope to mention to anyone whenever I hear them talk about the KISS principle. It's 2 more letters, and only one more syllable: “MIM SIS." Kind of like BAMCIS – the Marine's Troop Leading steps, (except a MI instead of a BA, and an S vs. the C…)
Here's my recommendation: to make all communication Meaningful, Interesting, Memorable – Short, Intentional & Simple.
MIM SIS
Well you can make it your own, or reject it vehemently, but please understand my point and stop assuming stupidity. Like the Scripture says: consider others – as BETTER than yourselves – you don't think you're stupid, do you?
Peace,
Adam
