Norman Vincent Peale served as pastor from 1932 to 1984, building a half-century legacy of positive-thinking preaching that profoundly shaped a young Donald Trump — whose family attended faithfully during his childhood and whose first wedding Peale officiated. Today Marble is led by Rev. Dr. Michael Bos and is openly LGBT-affirming, rejects biblical inerrancy in favor of historical-critical hermeneutics, performs same-sex weddings, and participates annually in NYC Pride.
