Leadership Structure
Male elders/pastors? Accountability?
TWO consecutive senior pastors removed for serious misconduct: Ted Haggard (removed 2006, sexual misconduct) and Brady Boyd (resigned 2025, abuse-coverup dishonesty re: Robert Morris). Pattern is a severe accountability red flag.
WARNING!
Preaching Style
Expository or topical/therapeutic?
Not confirmed from home page; Oral Roberts University-shaped charismatic stream implies topical/experiential.
Caution
Mission Clarity
Great Commission central?
Generic charismatic mission framing; no specifics surfaced.
Caution
Cultural Alignment
DEI/CRT language? Social justice crowding out gospel?
Not stated on available sources.
Caution
Accountability Structure
Denominational home, elder plurality, or external network — is the pastor answerable to anyone?
About page cites Nicene Creed as 'statement of faith' but does not list elders by name or any network affiliation. Leadership page did not surface elder roster. TWO consecutive senior-pastor scandal removals (Haggard 2006, Boyd 2025) demonstrate the accountability deficit. Kept RED — charismatic megachurch with no verifiable elder plurality and no external confessional network.
WARNING!

Assessment
New Life Church has a troubled history. Founded by Ted Haggard (removed 2006 for sexual misconduct), then led by Brady Boyd (2007-2025) who resigned after the church elders determined he was dishonest about what he knew regarding Robert Morris's sexual abuse of a child. Boyd had served at Gateway Church under Morris. Two consecutive pastoral scandals involving sexual misconduct/cover-ups is a severe red flag for institutional culture and accountability. Daniel Grothe (ORU-trained) now serves as interim pastor. The Oral Roberts University connection also signals charismatic/Pentecostal theological orientation. Not recommended given the pattern of leadership failures.
