Assessment
St. Paul's REC in Philadelphia is one of the historic congregations of the Reformed Episcopal Church — a denomination founded in 1873 as a conservative departure from the Episcopal Church over ritualism and later cementing its place as a classical, evangelical, Reformed Anglican body. The REC reserves holy orders to men, uses the 1662 BCP heritage and the 39 Articles as doctrinal standards, and is part of the ACNA / GAFCON fellowship. Solid confessional Anglican option.
