Assessment
Rep. Daniel D. Rostenkowski (D-IL), Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee 1981-1994, was a son of the Polish-Catholic Chicago community served by St. Stanislaus Kostka — the "mother church" of Chicago's Polish parishes (1867), administered by the Resurrectionist Order since 1869. The Kennedy Expressway's famous "Rostenkowski Curve" exists because Rostenkowski intervened legislatively to alter the highway path and prevent demolition of St. Stanislaus Kostka. The parish remains an active Archdiocese of Chicago Polish-cathedral-style landmark and Sanctuary of Divine Mercy. Catholic parishes are scored Yellow as standing outside the Protestant confessional frame MOOP uses.

Researched 2026-05-16 — address per Wikipedia article on St. Stanislaus Kostka Church (1351 West Evergreen Avenue, Pulaski Park neighborhood Chicago IL); ststanschurch.org primary site returned HTTP 403 to direct fetch but parish identity, mass times, and Resurrectionist administration confirmed via Chicago Catholic magazine 175th-anniversary coverage and corroborating sources. Rev. Anthony Buś C.R. identified as pastor in 2017 Chicago Catholic coverage; current 2026 assignment to be verified. Rostenkowski "parish_community_political_advocate" association documented in Wikipedia article on the church and corroborating Chicago Tribune historical coverage of the Kennedy Expressway "Rostenkowski Curve."
