Verb
To Fix / To Pitch / To Set Up

Definition

To make firm, to fix in place, to pitch (a tent). Used in Hebrews 8:2 of the tabernacle that the Lord pitched, not man.

Usage & Theological Significance

The 'true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being' (Hebrews 8:2) is the heavenly sanctuary where Christ ministers as high priest. The earthly tabernacle was a copy; the heavenly one is the reality. God's dwelling is not made with human hands — it is eternal, perfect, and firmly established by the Lord Himself.
