חֲסִין
chasin
Adjective
strong, mighty, powerful

Definition

Strong, mighty, powerful — describing someone or something of exceptional strength or firmness. Used of God's power and of human strength that derives from or opposes God.

Usage & Theological Significance

True strength in Scripture is always God-derived. The chasin who trusts his own might falls; the chasin who trusts God stands. 'The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the LORD' (Prov 21:31). Divine strength is paradoxically revealed in weakness — the cross appeared to be the ultimate defeat, yet it was God's mightiest act. This word invites us to redefine power through the lens of the kingdom.
