A man who treats "defending women" as the highest moral category, overriding his other God-given loyalties: to Christ first, then to his own wife in covenant, then to his fellow men in the body of Christ. The white knight inverts the biblical hierarchy by promoting generic woman to a position only Christ and his own covenant wife should occupy. In doing so, he refuses to weigh the actual case: he sides with the woman before he knows the facts, he excuses her words and behavior automatically, and he treats men who disagree with her as inherently suspect. The posture is not Christian chivalry. Chivalry under Christ involves ordered love: protection of one's own household and dependents, sober adjudication of disputes, and willingness to side with the truth even when the truth disadvantages a woman.
Modern pejorative: a man who reflexively defends women against men regardless of merit; an inversion of ordered biblical loyalty.
WHITE KNIGHT, n. (modern slang, c. 2000s–present) Originally a chivalric image of the heroic rescuer-knight. Repurposed in internet manosphere and dissident-right discourse to label men who reflexively side with women in disputes against other men, regardless of merit, often for social approval or romantic-sexual reward. In Christian dissident-right and NXR usage (Kings Hall, Bnonn Tennant), the term names a specific failure: a man who has confused chivalry-under-Christ with deferring to women as a class, and who will betray his own brothers in the faith to maintain the deference.
Proverbs 18:13 — "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him."
Proverbs 18:17 — "He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him."
Galatians 1:10 — "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."
Leviticus 19:15 — "Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour."
Christian chivalry hijacked into deference-to-class; the biblical command to judge righteously replaced with reflexive female-favoring.
The white-knight failure is not strength in defense of one's covenant household — that is biblical (Eph 5:25-29; 1 Tim 5:8). The failure is the substitution of generic woman for my wife, my daughter, my mother as the object of protective loyalty. The biblical man defends those God has placed under his roof and care. The white knight defends any woman in any dispute, before he has heard the facts, often against men whom he owes deeper loyalty: his pastor, his brother in Christ, his own father. He does this because he has internalized the Long House rule that the woman's account is the truer account by default. That rule is not Christian.
Leviticus 19:15 forbids exactly this disposition: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty. The command applies in both directions: do not advantage the strong because they are strong, and do not advantage the weak because they are weak. Adjudicate the case in righteousness. Proverbs 18:17 names the structural error directly: he that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him. The white knight has decided before the neighbor arrives. He has stopped being a judge and become a partisan. That is not chivalry. That is unrighteousness with a chivalric paint job.
