Μετρητη
Metrētē
Noun, Feminine
Female Measurer / Measurement Standard

Definition

Feminine form related to metreō (to measure). Pertains to measurement standards and the careful assessment of spiritual realities.

Usage & Theological Significance

God measures all things by His perfect standard. Human measurements fail, but God's assessment is always accurate. He searches the heart and tests the mind (Jeremiah 17:10). No human standard can judge what only God can measure — the thoughts and intentions of the heart. This is why Paul declared: 'It is the Lord who judges me' (1 Corinthians 4:4).
