Purpose

My mentor encouraged me to come up with a mission statement of sorts for my life. I’ll just call it “Purpose” – and this is it:

“To imitate Christ, bearing the fruit of the Spirit so that many will taste and see just how good the Father is.”

Every word in that mission statement is anchored to Scripture – no filler, no vague language. Each linked word above points to a specific verse. This is intentional: a mission statement built on the Word holds under fire.

• Imitate Christ — Ephesians 5:1, 1 Corinthians 11:1
• Bearing fruit of the Spirit — John 15:5, Galatians 5:22-23
• Many will taste and see — Genesis 50:20, Psalm 34:8
• How good the Father is — Psalm 100:5, James 1:17
